Our Good Work…

…is the only marketing we need.

That’s what many nonprofits tell themselves.

Unfortunately, that is simply not true, as evidenced by so many of our clients referring to themselves as their community’s “best kept secret.”

If you have any doubts about this, do take a minute to read about what happened a few years ago along the Texas Arkansas border when, despite a boom in renewable energy projects accompanied by positive economic growth, voters, apparently unaware of how this occurred, failed to vote for the politicians responsible.

Though the article’s emphasis is primarily politics, it’s not hard to connect the dots and conclude that a major factor in the failure of voters to reward those who delivered results was due to an assumption that the results spoke for themselves.

We finally have an answer to the age-old question: “If a tree falls in the forest and no one hears it, does it make a sound?”

No… it does not.
