The Riverport Wooden Boat School is part of the Hudson River Maritime Museum located along the Kingston, NY waterfront. Because the area has a storied history of boatbuilding, the museum staff decided to pay homage to this legacy and sponsor a boatbuilding challenge: multiple teams of two contestants each would race each other and the clock to construct an entire boat from scratch in four hours or less. In this video, we tell the story of one team unique in the competition in that the builders were two women.
