Beginning in late spring of 2017, the Hudson River Maritime Museum began oversight of the construction of a 44-foot solar-powered boat. This short video, much of it in time-lapse format, chronicles the work that has been completed through late summer. The project has been entirely hand-built by a 3-person crew of accomplished shipwrights aided by numerous volunteers. The expected completion date is December 2017.
